I created Goldie’s Animal Rehab Co. to be a place where animals feel safe, calm, and respected. A space where rehabilitation is never rushed, where every animal is treated as an individual, and where emotional wellbeing is valued just as much as physical recovery. Our approach is gentle, physiotherapy-led, and guided by evidence, compassion, and trust.
Every day, I feel incredibly grateful to do work that aligns so closely with my values. Helping animals move more comfortably, regain confidence, and enjoy life again isn’t just my profession — it’s my passion.
Our Story
My journey into animal rehabilitation began with two things that have always shaped who I am: a deep love for animals and a fascination with movement. Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always felt drawn to understanding them, caring for them, and advocating for their wellbeing.
Becoming a Physiotherapist gave me a strong foundation in anatomy, movement, and evidence-based rehabilitation. But it was when I discovered animal rehabilitation that everything clicked. I realized I could combine my physiotherapy training with my passion for animals — supporting them through injury, recovery, and the challenges that come with aging.
A huge inspiration behind this practice is my golden retriever, Gracie. She has been by my side through so many stages of life and was a constant reminder of how deeply animals enrich our world. Naming [Practice Name] after Gracie felt like the most natural way to honour the bond we share and the reason I care so deeply about the work I do.
